"We've been in business for 39 years," said Pat Schaffer, vice president of Villa Europa. The restaurant began in 1964 as Pizza Villa and in 1974 moved to its current location at 3044 Deans Bridge Road. The longevity of staff members, blend of continental cuisine and eclectic music make this restaurant a unique dining experience. The restaurant is decorated to optimal elegance with Neuschwanstein Castle influences, Augusta National decorative portraits, and much more. There is even a well-stocked bar featuring a selection of German Schnapps and beer. If it's a nice day, lounge outside at a table in the Bier Garten. Have some schnitzel or bratwurst with your beer and relax in the great environment of Villa Europa. If you have a sweet tooth, the dessert counter is where you will find a grand selection of decadent Bavarian sweets to satisfy that craving. "We have people that have been coming here for three generations," Schaffer said. "There are people who bring in their grandchildren for the first time and we get to see them try escargot." The quality, quantity and price is why people should come try the family recipes of the German native, Anneliese Schaffer-Neises, who became president of Villa Europa in 1989.
