Snedeker energized entering the Masters

Brandt Snedeker was the hottest golfer on the planet to begin the year. He posted a win, two runner-ups and a third in his first five events. Then, he suffered a rib injury and sat out five weeks.

Snedeker, who tied for third at the 2008 Masters, has missed two cuts in his return from the setback. Still, he said he feels fresh.

"The injury I had, a strained intercostal muscle which there isn’t much you can do," he said. "I did everything I could to make it faster, come back faster between injections and therapy and stuff like that, but it’s an injury that you have to let heal on it’s own time.

"That being said, I feel great.  The healing process actually came at a great time with me.  I got to spend a lot of time at home with my family.  I had played a bunch of golf in a row and came at a good time.  And I came in here very well rested and I’m as fresh as I can ever remember being for a Masters and it’s hopefully going to pay dividends on the weekend."
