Aiken’s Kevin Kisner was on a path to the best round of his Masters career when the seventh hole planned a detour.

After a double bogey there, he finished with two pars and, for the third time in his four Masters, shot 69. Kisner completed the tournament at 5-under 283 and tied for 21st, his best showing at Augusta National.

“Yeah, I played great all day, just one hiccup,” Kisner said. “I turned a 64 into a 69 and I’m still frustrated.”

Starting on the back nine Sunday because of the threat of storms, Kisner had four birdies on the inward nine for 32 at the turn. For the week, Kisner shot 8-under par on the second nine, while playing the first nine at 3-over.
