Jazz Janewattananond is checking off a number of requirements of being a Masters rookie.

The Thai golfer has close friend, Pulit Thongtae, as caddie, and spent part of Tuesday skipping balls across the pond at No. 16. Then, after playing nine holes Wednesday morning, Janewattananond made his way into the members merchandise shop.

“I spent $3,000 in three minutes,” Janewattananond said.

Janewattananond purchased hats, clothing and three limited edition Scotty Cameron putters. The 24-year-old will tee off at 7:11 a.m. Thursday alongside Charles Howell III and Brandt Snedeker.

Janewattananond qualified for the Masters by reaching the top-50 in the world rankings.

“It’s so exciting to be here,” Janewattananond said. “It’s really a dream come true.”
