AVONDALE, La. - Jason Dufner defeated Ernie Els on the second playoff hole to win the Zurich Classic and earn his first career PGA Tour victory.
Dufner, a former Auburn golfer, had been winless in his previous 163 starts on Tour.
Dufner shot 2-under-par 70 in the final round at TPC Louisiana. Els closed with 67. They both finished at 19-under 269 in regulation.
