Guan starts solid in bid to make the cut

Tianlang Guan, the 14-year-old Chinese amateur, is putting in his bid to make the cut in his first major appearance. After posting an opening 73, Guan has made pars on the first three holes to start the second round.

The low 50 players and ties, and anyone within 10 shots of the lead, at the conclusion of today's play will advance to the weekend. Guan is currently the low amateur in the field.
