Rough start for Rose

Justin Rose has to rebound from a pair of 6s to salvage his Thursday round.

Rose, the reigning U.S. Open champion, followed a bogey with a double bogey on Nos. 2 and 3. He later bogeyed No. 7 to fall to 4-over. He's currently at 3-over.

Rose will need to take advantage of the remaining par 5s to regroup. He birdied No. 8 for his first of the day.
