Thursday weather: chance of thunderstorms late

The chances of a wet Thursday will increase as the late afternoon and early evening hours approach.

After expected mostly cloudy skies which highs reaching the low-80s by the early afternoon, Thursday will be threatened by thunderstorms. At 3 p.m. there's a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms. That increases to 50 percent at 6 p.m. for scattered thunderstorms.

Any storms that develop could get severe with heavy rain and strong winds.
