Woods opens with solid round

Four-time Masters champion Tiger Woods opened with a solid 2-under-par 70. In three of Woods' green-jacket wins, he posted 70 in the opening round.

Woods opened his round with five consecutive pars before making birdie at No. 6. He followed two holes later with another birdie at the par-5 eighth.

Woods moved to 3-under through 13 holes before making a mistake at No. 14. He three-putted the green for bogey. One hole later, he missed a short birdie attempt.

Woods hit 9 of 14 fairways, 13 greens and needed 30 putts.
