CAPTIVATED: Besides his golf game, the biggest things building Adam Scott’s fan base are those blue eyes.

“I’m looking at Adam Scott, really based on his looks,” Cristi Yanker of Atlanta said of picking a winner Sunday.

Yanker said she got Scott’s autograph at the pro shop at the Masters several years ago, and the memory stuck with her.

“I think he’s a good guy that deserves a shot at the championship,” she said. “Also, I’m definitely not looking at Tiger.”

RANGER ROAMS: Some things are worth taking a rain check on if it means getting to go to the Masters.

Texas Rangers co-owner Neil Leibman missed the team’s opening day ring ceremony Saturday.

“Instead, I chose to be at the Masters with my good friends and to check something off my bucket list,” Leibman said.

It was a hard sacrifice, especially because Leibman said this is the year his team will win the World Series.

COUPLES FAN: On his first trip to the Masters, Barry Clark, a recent graduate of Notre Dame, said the experience would be even better if Fred Couples wins the green jacket.

“I’m looking for Fred Couples to make a move,” Clark said. “He’s a little older and one of my favorite golfers, so it would make coming here that much better.”

Clark’s first time in Augusta was spent with his girlfriend.

“It’s awesome out here,” he said. “Kind of a dream come true.”
