Happy Birthday, Jack!

Jack Nicklaus celebrates his 75th birthday today.

For Augusta, where Nicklaus won a record six Masters, it seems like it was only yesterday that he was a 19-year-old amateur who made his debut in 1959.

Or that he was becoming the youngest winner in 1963.

Or that he was setting records that would stand more than 30 years in his 1965 triumph.

Or that he was the first to successfully defend his title.

Or that he was holding off charges from Tom Weiskopf and Johnny Miller to win again.

Or that he was turning back the clock and defying conventional wisdom with his historic triumph in 1986.

We cheered when you won. We teared up a bit when you quit playing. Now, we applaud when you play the Par-3 and hit one of the opening tee shots.
