Patron doesn't leave first Masters empty-handed
The $95 price tag didn’t stop Pete Teller from purchasing three Augusta National wooden signs Wednesday morning for his home in Madison, Wis.
“One for the play room, basement and garage,” said Teller, excitedly. “This is going to complete my house.”
He went on to buy a Par-3 Contest pin flag and three sets of Masters tumblers.
“I’ve never been so happy to spend $500 in my life,” he said. “I mean, this is fantastic.”
Wednesday marked Teller’s first trip to the Masters Tournament. He flew into Atlanta on Monday with his wife, Jill.
“My parents won tickets through the practice round lottery and decided to let us have them,” Jill said. “Instead of just taking a day off from work and feeling rushed, Pete and I each decided to take our work vacations this week and be in Augusta. We’re very grateful for this opportunity.”
