Rick Allen takes break from Washington to visit Masters
U.S. Rep. Rick Allen took a break from Washington to visit his hometown and the Masters Tournament this week.
Allen volunteered at the Masters for 31 years. The trip to his congressional district hasn’t been all leisure, however.
Between visits to the golf tournament, Allen made a trip to Swainsboro, Ga., for a law enforcement appreciation dinner. He also stopped for 30 minutes at Amen Corner on Friday to talk to a security guard who had supported his campaign.
“I’ve been spending time here yesterday and today and we’ll be here tomorrow just welcoming everybody to the 12th District of Georgia,” he said.
Allen, and his wife, Robyn, followed Jordan Spieth on Saturday and planned to see Tiger Woods play, too.
“Today’s not a day off, but we’re having great fun,” Robyn Allen said.
