Tuesday practice round underway
The skies have cleared up and dozens of golfers are on the course for today’s practice round at the Masters Tournament.
Inclement weather chased players off Augusta National and forced tournament officials to close the course early Monday. But the sun has been out some today, and the forecast is for good weather the rest of today, although it could be a bit breezy with gusts up to 20 mph.
Thousands of patrons are on the course and following the action. Major champions Webb Simpson and Keegan Bradley are among the players on the course this morning.
Earlier today, three-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson played nine holes.
Defending champion Adam Scott is in the media center today and is expected to play a practice round this afternoon.
A field of 97 players will tee off Thursday morning after honorary starters Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player hit their ceremonial shots.
