Zach Johnson assessed penalty stroke during Friday round
Zach Johnson suffered a penalty stroke that added to a rough two days for the former Masters champion.
Johnson’s ball moved while he addressed it on the sixth green, resulting in a one-stroke penalty. He took bogey on the par 3, one of three for Johnson on Friday, and shot even-par 72.
Johnson’s first-round 78 left the 2007 champion with a tough hill to climb to make the cut. He was unable to do so, finishing 6-over for the tournament.
