Patrons are getting an additional beer choice this year.

For the first time, the Masters Tournament is offering American Craft Beer (Blue Moon), which comes with an orange slice on every green cup.

“It’s the perfect spring beer,” said Megan Thie, who attended the Masters for the first time Monday. “Not only does it have a customized taste but it’s also smoother than (other beers).”

American Craft Beer sells for $5 at concession stands – the same price as the imported beer (Stella Artois). Domestic beer sells for $4 and comes in a clear cup.

Beer prices remained unchanged for patrons this year. Prices of both import and domestic increased $1 in 2015.

“When I got to the concession line, I couldn’t believe the Masters had Blue Moon,” Thie said. “I’m from Indianapolis and it’s huge up North. I just didn’t know it was popular in Georgia, too.”

Stephen Romeo, of North Augusta, saluted the new choice.

“This was a great move,” Romeo said. “With the warm Masters weather, adding Blue Moon was a perfect idea.”
