Masters TV ratings increase for second day
ESPN announced another increase in Masters Tournament viewership, this time for Friday’s second-round telecast.
The network earned a 2.1 U.S. household rating Friday, averaging 2.952 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media. The telecast aired from 3 to 7:30 p.m.
Last year’s Friday coverage earned a 1.8 rating and averaged 2.465 million viewers.
Thursday’s ESPN coverage earned a 2.2 rating and averaged 3.081 million viewers, a considerable increase over last year’s 1.6 and 2.235 million.
ESPN also had a viewership record for Wednesday’s Par-3 Contest, which garnered a 0.8 rating and averaged 1,084,871 viewers.
